KIDS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Our kids classes are divided based on your child's age, size, and experience level. Each of these classes maintain a ratio of approximately 1:6 instructors to students to ensure your child gets the attention necessary to thrive. 

Ages 5-7 Years old Juniors

At Brampton Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, our Kids Program for ages 5-7 focuses on building confidence, discipline, and essential motor skills for future athletic success—all while teaching valuable self-defense. Developed with both fun and practicality in mind, our curriculum keeps children engaged through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu-based exercises and games.


Our team of instructors, with backgrounds in early childhood education, psychology, and BJJ competition, creates a supportive environment where kids improve balance, coordination, and teamwork. Each class emphasizes movement, foundational athletic skills, and structured play that instills focus and discipline. With engaging, age-appropriate activities, our program helps young athletes grow in a positive setting

Ages 7-11 Years Old Beginners

Our Beginners Program for ages 7-11 at Brampton Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is designed to build confidence, discipline, and introduce essential Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques. Ideal for new students, this program blends fun with practicality, helping kids learn foundational self-defense skills in a supportive environment.


Through engaging exercises and games rooted in BJJ, students develop teamwork, focus, and perseverance. Each class emphasizes movement and technique, giving kids a solid foundation for future athletic success while fostering a love for fitness.


Ages 7-11 Years Old Intermediate

Our Intermediate Program for ages 7-11 is perfect for kids with some experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu who are ready to take their skills to the next level. This class emphasizes advanced techniques, sparring, and introduces students to the exciting world of competition BJJ.


With a focus on honing skills and building confidence on the mat, students participate in more intense drills and live sparring sessions to improve technique and adaptability. Our supportive environment encourages students to grow their abilities, challenge themselves, and enjoy the thrill of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a fun, engaging way.

Advanced Kids

Our Advanced Program is tailored for dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes ready to excel in high-level competition. Entry to this class is by invitation or through an interview with the athlete and their parents, ensuring a strong commitment to the training process. Attendance is mandatory, reflecting the intensity and focus required for success.


This program emphasizes advanced BJJ techniques, competition strategies, and refined tactics to give athletes a competitive edge. Training also includes challenging strength and conditioning exercises designed to build resilience, power, and endurance. While not required, athletes in this class regularly compete at the international level, showcasing the effectiveness of their training.


ADULT & TEENS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Our Adult and Teens classes are separated into Beginners and Intermediate/advanced. 

Adult & Teens Beginners

Our Adult Beginners class is perfect for those with little or no experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In this welcoming environment, new athletes learn basic movements, fundamental positions, and essential techniques, all without the pressure of sparring. We encourage students to go at their own pace, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable introduction to BJJ.


No athletic background or previous experience is required—this class is designed to help you build confidence, fitness, and skill from the ground up. With a focus on foundational techniques, our supportive instructors guide you every step of the way, helping you discover the benefits of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a friendly and relaxed setting.

Adult & Teens Intermediate/Advanced

Our Adult Intermediate class is designed for athletes with prior experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, offering a dynamic training environment to enhance your skills. Each session begins with a thorough warm-up, preparing your body for the challenges ahead. Participants engage in positional sparring to refine techniques and improve strategic application in real-time scenarios.


Technical instruction focuses on advancing your understanding of BJJ principles and tactics, while open sparring provides an opportunity to practice your skills against a variety of partners. This class fosters a supportive atmosphere where athletes can challenge themselves and grow at their own pace.

WOMENS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Women's Introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Our Women’s Beginners class offers a welcoming and supportive environment for those new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Designed specifically for beginners, this class focuses on learning fundamental movements, basic positions, and essential techniques. No prior experience or athletic background is required—just a willingness to learn and have fun!


With a focus on building confidence and self-defense skills, our experienced instructors guide you through each technique step-by-step, encouraging you to progress at your own pace. No sparring is required, allowing you to focus on building a solid foundation in a comfortable, empowering setting.

Women's Competition Training

Our Women’s Competition Class is tailored for athletes looking to sharpen their skills and thrive in the high-energy world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition. This program focuses on advanced techniques, strategic drilling, and intense sparring sessions designed to prepare you for the rigors of competitive matches.
